🧡 Cove Cares – Donating Commander Decks to Grow the Game
At Collectors Cove, we're all about helping more people experience the magic of Commander - and that doesn’t just mean selling decks. It means giving back.
That’s why we’ve launched Cove Cares - our new initiative to donate full Commander playgroup sets (4x commander decks) to youth groups, schools, and community projects in the UK.
💡 Why We're Doing This
Magic: The Gathering is more than just a game - it builds friendships, sharpens minds, and creates unforgettable moments. But not everyone has access to the cards or decks to get started.
We’re using a portion of our profits to help change that.
🎁 What We’re Donating
Each Cove Cares donation includes:
4x Commander decks (ready to play out of the box)
A handful of dice for tracking life, counters, and more
Shipped directly to a nominated group
That’s enough for a full Commander table - and with four decks in rotation, each player gets to try a new deck every game. Perfect for learning the format and finding their playstyle.
🙌 How You Can Help
Every purchase helps! Just by being a valued customer, you’re already supporting Cove Cares - so thank you for helping us bring MTG to new players.
Know a group that would love to receive a set of decks?
Have them reach out to us at Sales@CollectorsCove.co.uk and we'll walk them through the criteria.

Who has Cove Cares Supported?
🕊️ Our First Donation: Fellowship of the Phoenix
We’re proud to announce the first group to receive a Commander playgroup set through Cove Cares – Fellowship of the Phoenix, an informal MTG community based in Newtown, Powys.
Led by founders Peter and Chris, this friendly, inclusive group puts the fun and social spirit of Commander front and centre. Their sessions reward not just winning, but mentoring – recognising players who help newcomers learn, interact, and enjoy the game.
“One of the issues facing our small club is retaining new players who want the Commander experience, but can’t afford a deck or don’t yet know their playstyle. These decks will help us offer variety, encourage experimentation, and welcome new players with confidence.”
We’re thrilled to support them as they grow their community and continue to make Commander accessible for everyone.
