A 5-color Scarecrow tribal deck might not sound too bad, right? Well, this is a very naughty deck. We've stocked it with seemingly useless creatures that are either scarecrows or pseudo-scarecrows (changelings). The idea is to get the Reaper King in play as fast as possible and then play these harmless-looking scarecrows, which, when they enter the battlefield, destroy ANY permanent... making this suddenly a very scary deck.

• Destruction on Entry: With Reaper King in play, each scarecrow or changeling that enters the battlefield can destroy any permanent, making it a powerful control deck
• Enhanced ETB Triggers: Cards like Panharmonicon provide additional ETB triggers, allowing you to maximize the destructive power of your scarecrows.
• Flicker Effects: We've included a cycling sub-theme to make use of Astral Slide, enabling you to flicker your scarecrows and gain extra ETB triggers to take over the game.

Strategy Overview:

It's crucial not to play your scarecrows without Reaper King in play. Playtesting showed that getting the King out first and then swarming the board with cheap scarecrows to clear all threats was the most effective strategy.

Suggested Upgrades:

• Astral Drift: Enhance your flicker effects.
• Elesh Norn: Boost your creatures and further capitalize on ETB effects.
• Yarok: Similar benefits with enhanced ETB triggers.

Additional Notes:

• Target Selection: The deck suits players with some game knowledge as managing ETB effects can be tricky. Once you learn the deck, it’s straightforward—just a matter of target selection.
